Sturbridge meat pickup!
You may have heard rumors of an elusive winter meat pickup in Sturbridge, MA. If you did, we have good news — you’re correct!
For the first time ever, we’re offering a pre-order-only meat pickup in Sturbridge at Saw Dust Coffee House. The first pickup is Saturday October 22 from 10am - noon. We’re teaming up with Still Life Farm who offers a monthly winter produce CSA. They’ll have their fruits and veggies, and we’ll bring the meat and eggs! Beautiful.
Pre-orders are open until 6pm Friday October 21st.
Meat and egg pickup is available whether or not you’re getting the produce CSA, but speaking of, we’ve been members of Still Life winter CSA for years. Here is information from them:
Still Life Farm is happy to offer our Winter CSA program in Sturbridge at Sawdust Coffee House! Our Winter CSA program is a five-month program spanning October to February. Your share will be filled with a diverse variety of local produce all grown at our farm, included (but not limited to) storage roots, alliums, winter squashes, cabbages and brussels sprouts, hardy winter greens, and storage fruits. We offer two convenient sizes - Standard (designed for a household of 2+) or Individual (designed for a household of one). Pick up your CSA share in Sturbridge once-a-month, on Saturdays, from 10-2pm, on the following dates: 10/22, 11/12, 12/10, 1/14, 2/11. Coventry winter farmers market
We are officially accepted into the Coventry winter farmers market this year. This is our first time doing a winter farmers market and also, big secret, we’ve never actually been to any of the Coventry farmers markets. But, we sure have heard a lot of nice things about them.
Opening day for us is November 13. The market is at the high school in Coventry, CT and runs from 10am to 12:30pm. As usual for us, we make things difficult by doing an mostly-every-other week schedule, so we’ll be there the following dates:
Nov 13, Nov 27, Dec 18, Jan 8, Jan 22, Feb 5, Feb 19, Mar 5, Mar 19.
Think of all the fun we’ll have!
