We have a small quantity of our chickens available as meat.
Although we don't raise chickens for meat, we keep laying chickens for eggs along with a few roosters. We ended up with too many roosters, so we are selling excess juvenile roosters for meat.
Pasture-raised and always foraging, these are happy and healthy birds. Because we don't normally do meat birds we did hand-pluck these so they will have some stray feathers and miscellaneous "feeler" hairs on their skin, so that will be different than your average bird. :)
However, these birds had a great 21 weeks of life and extremely high quality feed, which reflects in their price point. Enjoy!
Because there aren’t many chickens available, we are notifying you, our loyal email list members, first! We won’t be advertising on social media or otherwise until Friday so if you’re interested let us know by Friday. The chickens average 3.3 lbs and and $12/lb.
